| Peggy March | Der Sommerwind | Laß Mir Meine Träume | 1966 | Here's something I didn't know: This was originally a German song written Heinz Meier and Hans Bradtke. Johnny Mercer wrote the English lyrics, and Sinatra's version is of course the most famous. Peggy March is best known for the 1963 single "I Will Follow Him," which was released when she was just 14 years old. She struggled to find success as music tastes changed in the mid-1960s and ended up moving to Germany in 1969 where she had a successful career, finishing second in the German Eurovision competition twice. She moved back to United States permanently in 1999, and she just finished writing her autobiography. | |
